Filter categories follow EN ISO 12312-1, based on visible light transmission. Most tints are Category 3. Clear and Blast Yellow are Category 0, for indoor and low-light use. Photochromic shifts with UV exposure, from Category 1 in its clear state to Category 2 when fully dark. We sell no Category 4 lens; note that Category 3 tints are not suitable for driving at night.

Installation, step by step

A few minutes is all it takes.

Frame type TR-90 (plastic), full-rim

Remove the old lenses

Place the frame face down on a soft cloth. Hold one side firmly and press gently from behind on the inner (nose-side) corner of one lens — it will pop out with a soft click. Repeat on the other side.

Align the new pair

Identify which lens is left and which is right by holding them up to your frame. Each lens has a subtle curve — match it to the frame groove, then seat the inner corner (nose side) first. The orientation should feel natural.

Press the outer edge home

Working outward from the nose, press the lens edge into the frame groove with steady thumb pressure. You'll hear a soft click when it's seated — that's the right sound. The frame will return to its original shape.

How precise is "frame-specific"? +

Each TLK pair is cut to the exact frame dimensions of your Wiley X Peak XL. We use the same base curve, lens shape, and edge profile as the original equipment. If your frame is authentic, our lenses fit.

My frame is from a different production year — will they fit? +

Most major frames keep the same lens dimensions across production years. If your model went through a revision, contact us at support@thelensking.com with a photo and the model code (inside the temple arm) — we'll confirm before you order.

What if I push and the lens won't seat? +

Stop pressing. Most likely you have the lens upside-down or reversed L/R. Hold the lens against the frame opening — the natural curve and concave side should match the frame's groove. If you've confirmed orientation and it still won't seat, contact us at support@thelensking.com — we'll guide you through it or replace the pair.

What's the warranty? +

Two years on manufacturing defects (EU legal warranty, Dir. 2019/771), 60 days on fit. If lenses crack, peel, or don't fit your authentic frame, we replace them.
