Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about The Lens King replacement lenses.

About Our Lenses

Will your lenses fit my frames?

Yes. Every lens is precision-cut to match your exact frame model using digital measurements. We guarantee a perfect fit or your money back.

Are your lenses made by the original manufacturer?

No. The Lens King lenses are premium aftermarket replacements. They are not manufactured by or affiliated with the original brand. We use brand names solely for compatibility reference.

What materials are your lenses made from?

Our lenses are made from impact-resistant polycarbonate with multi-layer coatings including scratch resistance, UV400 protection (blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays), hydrophobic coating, and anti-reflective treatment on select models.

What is the difference between non-polarized and polarized lenses?

Non-polarized lenses reduce overall brightness but do not eliminate glare. Polarized lenses contain a special filter that blocks intense reflected light (glare from water, snow, roads), providing sharper vision and better contrast. Polarized lenses are recommended for driving, water sports, and snow activities.

What are photochromic lenses?

Photochromic lenses automatically adjust their tint based on UV exposure. They darken in bright sunlight and become clearer indoors. Ideal if you want one pair of lenses that adapts to changing light conditions.

Do your lenses have UV protection?

Yes. All our lenses provide UV400 protection, blocking 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays regardless of lens color or type.

What does VLT mean?

VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission — the percentage of light that passes through the lens. Lower VLT means a darker lens. Category 3 (8-18% VLT) is ideal for bright sun, Category 4 (3-8% VLT) is our darkest option for extreme glare.

Ordering

How do I find lenses for my frames?

Use our Lens Finder tool. Search by brand and model name. If you are not sure of your model, check the inside of the temple arm, nose bridge, or behind the lens for the model number.

Can I order multiple colors for the same frame?

Yes. Our lens finder lets you add multiple colors to a single order. Mix and match to suit different activities or moods.

What if my frame model is not listed?

Contact us at support@thelensking.com with your brand and model number. We may be able to source or cut lenses for models not yet in our catalog.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all EU countries. International shipping is coming soon.

How long does delivery take?

Standard EU shipping takes 3-7 business days. Delivery times may vary by country. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location. We offer free shipping on orders above a minimum threshold (check the checkout page for current promotions).

Returns and Warranty

What is your return policy?

We offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with your lenses for any reason, contact us for a full refund or exchange. Under EU consumer law, you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of delivery. See our Returns Policy for full details.

What does the warranty cover?

Under EU law, every purchase is covered by a 2-year legal guarantee of conformity, free of charge. In addition, we provide a 12-month commercial warranty against manufacturing defects (delamination, coating failure, and incorrect sizing) which adds to, and does not limit, your statutory rights. Normal wear and scratches from use are not covered.

Installation

Is it easy to replace lenses myself?

Yes. Most sunglass frames are designed for lens replacement and the process takes 2-5 minutes. We include installation instructions with every order. If you have trouble, contact us and we will walk you through it.

Do I need special tools?

No tools are required for most models. Some frames may require gentle heating with a hair dryer to soften the frame slightly before inserting the new lenses.
