Our lenses are sunglare filters certified to EN ISO 12312-1, the European standard for sunglasses, and are CE-marked under Regulation (EU) 2016/425. For the US market they are designed to ANSI Z80.3 (the standard for non-prescription sunglasses) and tested to the FDA drop-ball impact method (21 CFR 801.410). ANSI Z87.1, by contrast, is a standard for industrial eye protection — our lenses are premium sunwear, not occupational safety equipment, so they are not certified to Z87.1.
